working for a living

well, this isn’t exactly working for a living.

it’s more like working for a lifestyle.

and what a lifestyle it is!

(sorry about the picture quality, it’s a web cam)

cheap rum, diving one of the clearest and best reefs in the caribbean, cheap beer, snorkeling with 35 foot whalesharks, cheap (or at least really inexpensive) sex, sun and cool breezes, cheap rent, world class sunsets, cheap and very diligent sandflies (hey, they keep the wannabes away), and a host of other wonderful things that i can’t quite remember at the moment.

oh yeah, world class hangovers.

anyway the above picture shows james and luis (not their real names) patiently crafting another couple of world class presentations for their instructor examination.

they are two thirds of the way through the program and are quite cocky at this point.

(they’re smiling because they don’t know how many beers they owe me yet. heh, heh, heh.)

update:  as expected both candidates continued to sail through the program and are now bay islands college of divings’ newest open water scuba instructors.

congratulations, guys!
