sunday morning

so here i am as usual bemoaning the fact that no place on this island is open for breakfast on sunday mornings.

i’m keeping it kinda low key because, as some of you might know, i’m not totally averse to running things into the ground so everybody here has heard this song before.

anyway, i’m trying to console myself with the fact that, at least, the internet seems to be playing fair today so i’m roaming around trying to find something worth the time it might take to read.

yahoo news is certainly no help.

“paris hilton’s mom is upset with john mccain”  this is news?  did cnn (certainly NOT news) buy yahoo while i wasn’t looking?

“paris hilton smooches her dog”  this conjures up images that are best perceived with an empty stomach as well as an empty mind.  but it begs the question “who slipped who the most tongue?”  and where?

off in search of something a little more intellectual.  (this has got to be a can’t lose proposition at this point) is the usual affirmation that the world is chock full of idiots whose survival even charles darwin couldn’t explain.

my stomach is starting to rumble a little bit by now (about a 4.3 on the richter scale) so my mind starts to wonder what the possibilities are of catching the odd stray rat who still hasn’t made it home from the bar in the bush.

but first a peek at my horoscope.

“Your body may be more intolerant of low-grade food and harmful substances, and this is a good day to begin a diet.”

i hate my life.

Was this before or after the breakfast biscuit from Thompsons? Since they’re the only one’s who’ll feed us.
